X Original Content Rewards Checker – Am I Eligible?
X retired Creator Revenue Sharing on September 7, 2026 and began rolling out access to its replacement, the Original Content Rewards Program, to existing Revenue Sharing members on September 8 — today. The rules changed meaningfully, not just the name.
This checker walks through X’s actual published eligibility criteria and content rules, tells you where you stand, and lays out the real payout transition timeline — instead of the outdated Revenue Sharing math every other calculator is still showing.

Qualified impressions are unique impressions from X Premium users (Premium Basic, Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business) on the Home Timeline, with at least 50% of the post visible. Reply impressions don’t count toward the 500,000 threshold — check Creator Studio for your exact number.
Pick what best describes your content. This checks the major originality categories X has published — it’s not a complete policy review. X can also exclude content for automated posting, misleading or disinformation content, a helpful Community Note, sexually explicit or harmful material, or other Terms of Service and copyright violations not covered here.
X’s general Creator Monetization Standards include additional requirements (like a minimum account age) beyond what’s listed as Original Content Rewards-specific criteria. This checker covers the program-specific criteria X has published for Original Content Rewards.

How Applying and Getting Paid Works
| Application review | X reviews applications and notifies you of the outcome within 3 business days. |
| If rejected | One appeal is available; if the appeal doesn’t succeed, you can reapply after 90 days if you still meet the requirements. |
| Payout schedule | Every 2 weeks, as long as your account and content continue to meet the program’s requirements. |
| Minimum payout | $30 |
| Payment method | X Money (U.S. creators) or Stripe (creators outside the U.S.) |

What Actually Changed With X’s Original Content Rewards Program
On August 7, 2026, X stopped accepting new enrollments into Creator Revenue Sharing, the program every other X earnings calculator is still built around. The program was fully retired on September 7, 2026.
Its replacement, the Original Content Rewards Program, opened for applications from existing Revenue Sharing members starting September 8, 2026 — today. An X executive described the change directly, saying the old program’s incentives had become misaligned with what X actually wants creators focused on: producing genuinely new content rather than maximizing payout metrics, as TechCrunch reported when the change was announced.
The eligibility bar moved in both directions
The new program uses a 500,000 qualified Home Timeline impression threshold over a 90-day window, with a much narrower definition of what counts than a simple view total. Only unique impressions from Premium subscribers on your Home Timeline posts, where at least half the post was visible, qualify — reply impressions are excluded entirely.
The bigger change is on content type. X now explicitly disqualifies copied content, minimally modified content (a filter, a text overlay, a swapped word or two), aggregated compilations of other people’s work, and cross-platform reposts. Commentary, analysis, and original reporting are explicitly called out as valued content — but curation-heavy accounts that built Revenue Sharing income on reposting or lightly remixing other creators’ content may not qualify under the new rules at all.
Why this tool doesn’t show you a dollar estimate
X has never published a per-impression or per-engagement payout rate for either program. Every “X earnings calculator” showing a specific dollar figure is using a third-party estimate, not an official rate — the same pattern we found and avoided when researching influencer marketing ROI benchmarks. Since eligibility, not a fake-precise number, is the actual open question right now, that’s what this tool checks.

What happened to X’s Creator Revenue Sharing program?
X stopped accepting new Revenue Sharing enrollments on August 7, 2026, and fully retired the program on September 7, 2026. Existing members received final payouts on August 14, August 28, and around September 11 for earnings through September 7.
It has been replaced by the Original Content Rewards Program, to which X began rolling out access for existing Revenue Sharing members on September 8, 2026.
What are the eligibility requirements for X’s Original Content Rewards Program?
Per X’s own Help Center, you must be 18+, based in a supported country, in good standing with no history of monetization violations, hold a Personal or Business account (not political or government), and have an active X Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business subscription.
You also need at least 500,000 qualified Home Timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days, at least 500 verified followers, and must actively post original content. Meeting these doesn’t guarantee approval — you still have to apply and pass review.
What counts as original content under X’s new program?
X defines original content as anything you personally created — written, filmed, designed, or produced — that reflects your own voice, perspective, or expertise, including commentary and analysis.
It explicitly excludes copied content, minimally modified content, aggregated compilations of others’ work, cross-platform reposts, and content exclusively focused on monetization coaching, monetization discussion, or maximizing payouts.
How much does X’s Original Content Rewards Program pay per impression?
X has not published a per-impression or per-engagement payout rate for either the old Revenue Sharing program or the new Original Content Rewards Program.
Any specific dollar-per-impression figure you see elsewhere is a third-party estimate, not an official X figure — this is why this tool checks eligibility rather than projecting an earnings number.
